(More customer reviews)If there was ever an example of "you get what you pay for" it is the Boyo AVN701s.
On the surface the feature list seems impressive especially for the price, but once I finally had one that I could actually use, it proved to be very disappointing.
First problem, the product arrived DOA due to a bad detachable panel which would not make good contact with the main unit unless you held it with pressure from your hand.
When I sent it back for a replacement I got one that did at least power up properly. But this one was missing a complete volume button. I decided to cut my losses and just live with it.
The unit interface is less than intuitive. The MP3 display truncates the names of the tracks when the screen is deployed, and doesn't even display the filename or tag information when the screen is closed. This is a real problem to me.
Navigation within a song is a truly annoying experience.
GPS functionality was OK although I would appreciate being able to listen to audio while displaying the GPS map other than when following a guided route. GPS will not maintain correct time.
Bluetooth worked most of the time, but would not access my phones contacts, which is annoying.
A plain old "scan" for the radio would have been nice.
In summary I was thoroughly disappointed with both the product manufacturer and the retailer.
If you standards are low...take a chance, however they will never get another dime of my money.
