The Arkon offers a safer alternative and is also less obtrusive than displaying your gps to would be thieves.
The flexi-steel shaft is strong and mounts to the passenger seat floor bolt quite easily. The goose neck shaft can be bent in any direction for best viewing angle, I shape mine around the cars center console so that the gps sits just below the heater control, which makes for a nice look and the gps charger is virtually unseen behind the gps. The gps can easily be removed from the mount when leaving the vehicle for security. A little more length would have been nice, but overall this is a great alternative if you don't like the window mount that come as standard.
