(More customer reviews)This is a good product for anyone who has a tacoma and doesn't like the stock stereo. It doesn't match exactly (the color is slightly darker than the factory plastic) and it doesn't have the texture of the factory plastic; however, if you notice in your truck, the moldings left and right of the stock stereo are smooth so not having the texture really isn't an issue at all. The clock/hazards button fits perfectly in the bottom of this bracket and it fits right in the dash using the same bolts you take out to get the factory radio out.
Just an FYI, the install instructions are EXTREMELY vague. You will need to take the little plastic tabs (they were yellow on my 08 tacoma and there are 5 of them) off of the stock bracket and place them on the new bracket (it will become obvious when you have them out of the truck side by side). I sat for a good 45 minutes trying to get my Kenwood 6160 mounted and just about threw the thing across the room until i finally figured out a way to get it mounted without showing any spaces between the mount and the stereo. Just be patient and you will get it to work. A universal mount is kind of like an el camino... okay for everything but not great for anything.
I hope this helps you decide (I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one and install it again if i had another taco!)
