(More customer reviews)The bracket is very very flimsy and made of two flat pieces of soft plastic without any molded supports around 90 degree bends - the whole thing assembled easily flex in your hand. I can't see how it would hold up a 6lb radio and the climate control unit over bumps. It leaves 3mm gaps between the radio faceplate and the digital climate control on the last generation Cadillac Seville STS. Finally, the instructions said to cut the wrong mounting tabs so the mount part of the kit became completely useless.
Buy it for the faceplate only and make your own brackets to modify the existing high quality factory bracket instead. If you manage to successfully use the Metra bracket, it may break in the future and destroy your wood shift console by dropping the radio and climate control on it.
