I recently purchased this for a 08 Toyota Camry and 05 Tundra w/ NAV. I have the USA spec adapter in my tundra now and I have to say I am pretty dissappointed that it stopped working they I wanted it to (no more playlist option) as soon as Apple did an update to their ipod line. The PXAMG installed fairly easily and is firmware updateable which I like. I made sure to run the latest firmware update which it already had and the customer service was great confirming all my questions through the install. Two thumbs up for this product.

GROM Audio iPod to Mazda Car Adapter / Digital Interface Review

GROM Audio iPod to Mazda Car Adapter / Digital Interface

The box is a little bulky and takes a little while to find a sweet spot for it to rest.. The iPod cable is long enough for placement any where in the car.. and the sound quality is amazing.. If you are looking for an iPod adapter that lets you change songs from the steering wheel, look no further. Just to prove my point... I own 2 of these.

Dice i-Mazda-R Mazda 3/5/6/etc. IPod Adapter w/ Aux Input Review

Dice i-Mazda-R Mazda 3/5/6/etc. IPod Adapter w/ Aux Input

The Dice interface is a flawed solution to the problem of intergrating you iPod into your factory Mazda stereo. It works by emulating the factory CD changer input. It is important to note that the model that Amazon is offering here is not the R2 version that supports text display. The manual of the unit you will receive will state it does but the unit does not have that feature enabled. Please note that Amazon are not advertising it as the R2.
Installation is not difficult for the experienced user but you are on your own with regard to specfic instructions for your vehicle as the manual from Dice does not include any specific directions. That said there are several very good guides out there that cover installing, just Google to find your vehicle. If you have installed a headunit before adding this kit is really not much different from this process. A big thing to note is that if you have a factory external CD changer or Sat radio module you have to disconnect it as there is only one port on the headunit for external devices. Also the firmware of the headunit is important so check this before you order.
In use the interface has two modes. The first one locks you out of controlling the iPod via the click wheel and you are stuck paging through the whole content of your iPod. In the first mode you get accurate track time display on your factory headunit. The other mode allows control from the click wheel but looses the accurate sync of track time. The audio quality is good, it's not audiophile quality but it is a substantial upgrade from a cassette adapter or the FM transmitter adapters.
In my application I was installing into an RX-8 while disconnecting the factory Siruis module. Installation in this particular vehicle is not for the faint of heart as it involves opening up a signficant portion of your center console. It's not hard to do but it's just a case of poping the head unit out of the dash. The best part of working on the RX-8 is a hidden bolt on the side of the headunit which is fun to find while exposing you to lots of sharp edges. I had originally wanted to get the R2 model but Amazon do not stock it directly so after the disappointment of not having text display despite the manual suggesting I would. The major failing for me is that the iPod dock connector is substantially larger than the Apple original design and is incompatible with the case I have on my 6G Classic. I was happy with the sound quality but the hassle of the case was too much for me so I had to return it.

DICE i-Toyota-R-5v iPod Integration Kit for Toyota, Lexus and Scion Review

I have had this installed for about a week, so I'm still playing around with it. But I hope this review still helps....
I installed this on a 2007 Camry LE. It has the basic factory radio (not navigation) and steering wheel controls. Installation took approximately an hour with an online guide to get to the back of the Camry radio, and some previous experience on other, similar cars.
The Car Configuration and iPod Configuration switches were in the default position (both up).
I Plugged in a 2nd generation iPod Touch with firmware 3.1.3 and it worked (text showed up on radio and could control from the radio and steering wheel). However, (This is where it gets finicky) when the car was turned off, then on, the ipod would sometimes continue from where it last left off. Other times, it would start from a song originally selected on the ipod. Ideally, the ipod should pause when the car is turned off, and continue where it last left when the car is turned back on (I have a 2010 Altima with the iPod integration factory installed). Yet, it did work, so that was good.
Later on, the car radio would display text as though I was scrolling through options (Bass, Mid, Treble, Software Version and some other things) and text that showed time (like a track was playing), but there was no sound. At this point, I could occasionally get a song from the iPod to play, but it was the same song and I could not figure out how to change it.
At this point, I thought it was not going to work anymore, until I started playing with the switches.
I decided to put the iPod Configuration switches both down. Both up makes the iPod display an accessory connected (such as an iPod dock) and you can only control from the car radio/steering wheel. Both down let's the user have control from both the iPod and car radio/steering wheel. According to the manual, both down is for radios that do not display text.
Anyway, after putting the switches down, everything started to function normally (Controls from radio/steering wheel, text on radio, and iPod paused after turning the car off and played after turning the car on).
Hopefully, everything continues to operate well.
I recommend this product.
