(More customer reviews)1. If you intend to use a serial/power cable with this bracket, the screw retainer used to hold the connector to the GPS is hard to get at due the the bracket's arm. Now, this may not be an issue if the bracket holds the GPS in securely enough against the connector pins - [edit] turns out this is a non-issue.
2. Because it is mounted from the top (window) and hands down, the GPS moves around a lot and depending on where you locate it, it can vibrate against the dash. [edit] the vibration on the dash is a big issue. You need to put a piece of rubber or felt on the bottom of the bracket.
I think if you have the surface space, the swivel mount is probably the better option. I am going to order one and try it out.
