(More customer reviews)First let me tell you up-front that this is my first GPS system and I do not own or subscribe to bluetooth.
Now, straight out of the box it looked intimidating. If you've worked with computers, cell phones, etc you will have no problem navigating this GPS. Everything is fairly straight forward. Menus are easy to read and figure out.
One of my main complaints about this unit is that the manual is on CD. It's a pain in the rear to have to go to my computer everyttime I want to research or figure something. I would really rather have a users manual in my hands, especially while traveling!
The unit picks up a signal fairly quick and I was amazed at how quickly it recalculates a route if you miss a turn or decide to use a shortcut.
My first use was around town (30k population) on a rainy, cloudy day. The unit dropped the signal a couple of time but shortly picked them up and was back on track. I ave not used the unit for a long trip but feel confident that this will be a reliable tool.

Addendum: Now that I have owned this unit for a couple of year, well, I wouldn't touch it with the proverbial "10' pole!" After a couple of uses it now takes FOREVER to pick up a signal even on the clearest of days. We have been traveling a time or two when the unit simply froze up. We had to turn it off and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before it would clear whatever hicup it had. I have since went to the Garmin NUVI 255W and love it. The Garmin has yet to give us any trouble and it snags a satellite within 15-20 seconds WITHOUT FAIL. Beware of off-brand GPS units. Pay the extra bucks and go with a name-brand. One last comment on the NAV720: To the best of my knowledge, Customer Service doesn't exist. Please check this out before wasting your money!Hope this helps someone!
