Transom Mount with Depth, Temperature and Speed Review

Transom Mount with Depth, Temperature and Speed

This sounder is great - fairly easy to install and works well in most situations. In the flats with a lot of grass it would sometimes give inaccurate readings or fail to determine depth, but mostly worked great and better than other transducers I used in the past.

Garmin Portable Case with Transducer Adapter and Battery Holder Review

Garmin Portable Case with Transducer Adapter and Battery Holder
Average Reviews:

The description (and box, when it arrived) states that this is compatible with the Garmin Fishfinder 140. Unfortunately, it is not. The transducer that comes with the 140 is not compatible with this portable case. However, I was able to modify the case by clipping off the external cable of the case, near the connector, and attaching simple connectors that I got from radio shack to power the GF140 and the transducer. The wire comming out of the carrying case contains just the leads for the batter, so this is an easy modification. So, this gets 4 stars (5 if it had been compatible, as claimed).
This is an excellent unit, otherwise. The GF140 mounts on the case nicely and the suction cup for the transducer stuck firmly to the transom of the boat that I was using. Everything worked well. The transducer and cabling fits in the case when not in use.

Humminbird XP 9 20 Puck Transducer Review

This was exactly what I needed for my boat. It allows me to run at full throttle and still read the depth and see structure.

The Humminbird XP 9 20 Puck Transducer is designed to mount to the inside of most fiberglass hulls with a deadrise less than 15 degrees, and transmit the sonar signal through the hull itself. Your boat's hull must be of single-layer, fiberglass construction and be free of trapped air or voids in order for a puck transducer to operate correctly, so cored fiberglass, metal and wood will not work. This unit is meant to be glued to your inner hull with a slow-cure epoxy, which is included, and connects to your compatible Humminbird sonar or fish finder system via the included 15-foot cable. The Humminbird XP 9 20 is a single/dual puck transducer and is designed to be used with Humminbird's; Piranha 1, Piranha 2, Piranha 3, Piranha 4, Piranha 5, PiranhaMax 10, PiranhaMax 15, PiranhaMax 20, Matrix 15, Matrix 17, Matrix 25, Matrix 27, Matrix 55, Matrix 65, Matrix 67, Matrix 97, FF515, FF535, and FF565. This item is backed by Humminbird's one-year limited warranty.

I have purchased numerous products from Amazon. This one, like all in the past was as advertised. It is the same transducer that came with my Humminbird originally and worked flawlessly when hooked up. Shipping was fast also!

The Humminbird XNT 9 20 T Transom Mount Transducer is a high-speed transducer designed to mount on the transom, or back, of the boat, in contact with the surface of the water, and operate in conjunction with a compatible Humminbird sonar or fish finder system. This unit is a single and DualBeam transducer that features 20- and 60-degree cone angles operating on 200 kHz and 83 kHx frequencies respectively.
The XNT 9 20 T includes a built-in temperature sensor, a 20-foot cable, and all the necessary high-speed hardware to get up and running right away. Although this unit has the same hole pattern as some older-version transducers, it utilizes a new design that is more secure and less prone to kick up at the high force of waves, as well as having an improved running angle, and an optional lock-down screw to override the kick up. The Humminbird XNT 9 20 T transducer is specifically designed for use with Humminbird's; Matrix 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 27, 67, 77c, 87c, 97, 717, 727, 737, 767, 777, 787, 323, 343, 363, 383, 141, 161, PMax10, PMax15, PMax20, PMax210, PMax215, PMax220, 917c, 931c, 937c, 957c, 997c, 515, 525, 535, 565,580, 585c, 595c, Piranha 2, Piranha 4, XP2000, and XP4000 sonar devices and fish finders. This transducer is backed by Humminbird's one-year limited warranty.
