Can't comment on any other applications, but if you are looking to power a single subwoofer I can say that this will do the job.

(More customer reviews)When i bought this sub, i got it for $45 dollars. I used it for a couple months, and once i was ready to upgrade again, i actually made a $20 profit from it on Ebay. Yes, after using it for a month, i made money on it!
As for the specs of the sub, it's pretty good. I have a really big appreciation for Kenwood. I love the price of their stuff and the quality of the subs aswell.
This sub is good, but one thing you need to do in order for it to preform well. Kenwood subwoofers like big boxes. The box deminsions on the manual are not true. So keep that in mind. If you put this sub in a small box, it will only hit a few bass notes, and you might be slightly disappointed.
Also, Kenwood subs can be blown easily if you over power them. I had to turn down my amps personally to not blow my Kenny subs.
If you buy this sub, you will be impressed with the cost and quality!

I TOLD THEM IT SPACIFICALLY STATES ON ALL MY E-MAILS AND OR RECIPTS THAT I ORDERED THE 10S AND THAT THEY HAVE THEM IN STOCK.... WELL FROM WHAT THE "BOSS" TOLD ME NP THEY DONT EVEN HAVE 10S... SO BEWARE BEFORE YOU ORDER THESE, YOU WILL NOT GET THE PROPER SET... NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANYTHING AT ALL FROM "DISCOUNT JUNGLE"... SO PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY. (More customer reviews)This is a sub not for people that don"t want a true high quailty sub that produces perfect tone and super spl,iam a musician and have done live sound for over 27 year at 43 years old i have a good ear.for what true bass sounds like and a hard person to please with sound quailty because after years of being in the stage with guitiars and keyboards and bass ,witch is what i play ,so when go for what sounds real to me in low end reperduction i think i this sub kills!!
it has all the tone and punch. and kick this sub is being powered by a elcipse xa 1000 running this sub at a 2 ohm load the amp pushes 480 rms true watts ,. it is in a 1cubic ft sealed box made of 3/4 high densty mfd
.the quailty off this subb is aaaa+as you would expect from Clarion it shows why they are a leader in high end car audio
so if you like true bass and spl and over the top sq buy this sub it is a no brainer it truely kills and leaves other subs behind!! its in a class of its own...
SMALL SPACE KILLER BASS!!!!!!

(More customer reviews)I had blown an older amp and needed something for my 400RMS audiobahn. I just wanted a little bump, nothing wild. This thing is nice and compact, and gets the job done. On one 12" sub it has plenty of power to make the music sound good, and if you need it to be louder, it can be. I'd recommend this if you are looking for better sounding music, and not just to make the people down the street hear you.
My only complaint is the power/ground wire terminals. I had 4 gauge wire from my old amp, but these are standard speaker wire terminals set up hold smaller 6 (or 8, I'm not sure) wire. I had to do some jerry rigging to get the 4 gauge to work. I would have liked terminals that were just large holes with a set screw to tighten in to the wire.

(More customer reviews)Kenwood has been around for a long time, it didn't take me but a few minutes to get my setup installed and tweaked, I have this amp and a 10" Kicker sub in a small sealed enclosure firing down, hooked up to an AVIC920BT on a pathfinder in the back and the performance is superb, if you don't mind your vehicle rattling all over then get this amp, it is small, light weight, and most important it's powerful, and economical, I recommend this amp to anyone.

(More customer reviews)I bought this thing a few months ago (refurbished) and installed it myself. The connections are straight forward and overall easy to install.
I got into a head on collision and bought a new car which I installed this unit in again. still works remarkably well with no scratches, skipping, or defects.
The screen is pretty much resistant to smudges and is MUCH louder and clearer than my CD player that i had installed before this. I would HIGHLY recommend this product for looks as well as functionality.
Pros:
large, scratch resistant screen
clear and loud
looks great in any car with single-din tray
easy hookup to subwoofers and amp
detachable screen
cons:
Screen is very easy to knock off and sometimes will come off without pressing the detach button.
When using aux mode, the screen is blue instead of showing something like volume controls, or visualizations.
not very many cons, just a few :)
