(More customer reviews)This was a direct replacement for a 4 year old strap. The problem is that Velcro looses its grip over time. I've come close to loosing my Garmin several times. My unit has pins like a watch, but they are inserted into the plastic body of the Garmin. I've had one of them pop out before. The strap comes with screws instead of pins, but I was able to reuse the original pins. Overall, I wish they would improve the design to be more secure such as adding an outer strap layer to make a secure connection. After all, I use this when flying, windsurfing, and skiing.
