(More customer reviews)It's not the fanciest but it does what it does well. In fact, it's a little TOO fancy, IMNSHO; MP3 player and photo viewer are superfluous. I chose it because it DOES NOT have speech recognition, which bogs the GPS down whilst trying to keep up with your position/direction. Many think SR's "kewl" but I can do without it if it bogs the GPS down.
As otherwise noted, lane guidance is not available everywhere but at least it tells me to "Keep right onto Interstate 55" then "Keep left onto Interstate 55 Business Loop" instead of leaving me on my own to figure out which of 4 ways to go. No doubt in my travels I'll find someplace where it doesn't give me enough information but it's a damn sight better than my old TomTom.
The display is very readable even in sunlight, though I sometimes have to rotate it to reduce glare. Tip: use a donut mount that sits on top of your dash so you can easily rotate it. Fixed mounts are harder to do this with.
The Garmin interface is worthy of praise; uncluttered, simple yet flexible enough to do what most want and then some.
Unlike others that have had random shutdown issues with the 755, I have had no such problems whatsoever despite two 200+ mile road trips so far. It's behaving itself quite nicely, thank you.
It doesn't have bluetooth, but I already have a Blue Ant BT, which works much better than the tiny speaker/mic on the GPS.
