(More customer reviews)I have now purchased 3 of these adapters....After searching for a bluetooth solution for all of my GM vehicles I came accross this product in a GM forum and I have to say it is hands down the best aftermarket buy I've seen for bluetooth. Currently I have one installed in a 2008 Sierra without Nav, 2007 GMC Yukon XL with Nav, and a 2007 Cadillac Escalade with Nav. All of these never offered bluetooth from the factory, only Onstar and I really wanted handsfree operation with a "factory" feel and this product gives it. Installation is litterally a 5 minute plug and play, the video on their website shows you how to do it in 5 minutes. I've paired my iPhone, Blackberry Bold, Bold 2, and Curve and all work great and the A2DP streaming audio is terrific. There are adjustments in the system menu that allow for volume adjustments of phone calls and streaming audio so that once you switch back to a normal source you don't blow out your ears. The only issue I've seen is the AVRCP with the iPhone, in the Sierra when I press the play/pause button on the sterring wheel controls it only mutes the music which is the factory preset function, it won't pause the iPhone. Overall great product.

(More customer reviews)Bought a Pioneer Premier DEH-P410UB Stereo for my girlfriends 2006 Civc LX coupe as a birthday gift. Found out that removing the factory stereo with an aftermarket one, would involve replacing part of the dashboard. Before seeing the item, I was nervous about the dash kit aesthetically and physically matching the rest of the dashboard.
The climate controls, Airbag light, emergency light button and center left vent had to be removed from the factory assembly in order to be attached to the Scosche kit. When replacing those components and assembling the stereo DIN cradle, turn the screws very slowly, a few of the screw holes cracked, but still held the components in place. I had to sand down the bottom lip of the rectangular climate control bay, because the AC buttons kept sticking.
After I finished with the installation, my girlfriend and I were very pleased with the results. The kit sits nice and tight against the inner dash. And the atlas-grey color (while not 100% perfect shade) was a great match. Best of all, the installation has a professional look. I have to knock off a star, due to the issues mentioned earlier, other than that, the kit did exceed my expectations.

Scosche Dt2B Radio Removal Tool (Euro Din) Review

(More customer reviews)Let me say first that these tools are sold in pairs. This is what one would infer from the photo, but is not stated explictly.
I wanted to remove the "Symphony" model radio from my 2001 Audi A4. I ordered two sets (four removal tools), as this radio is quite tall and so has a pair of locks at both the bottom and top of the radio. The removal tools have legends stamped into them, "Top-L" and "Top-R". This is to ensure that the user has the correct side of the tool facing up, and the correct tool inserted into the left and right slots of the radio. This positions the notch near the tip towards the inside of the radio. I also referenced my Bentley's manual for the correct insertion of the tool, and the drawings there match with the legends stamped on the tools.
The two lower tools snapped into position. The two upper tools went in, but there was no snap. I tried pulling on the lower tools to remove the radio, as directed in the Bentley's manual. The radio did not budge, not even a bit. Eventually I pulled hard enough that the bottom tools popped out, which is fortunate since the (bottom) radio locks are designed to capture the removal tools until they are released manually AFTER the radio is removed. I slid out the two top removal tools, which came out as easily as they went in.
I closely inspected the tools after my abortive attempt to remove the radio. The notches in the tools were stretched out somewhat by the pulling force I had to exert. This is not because I am so strong, but because the tools are made thin and soft aluminum, rather than steel.
My recommendation: Stay away from these tools if you have an Audi radio.

Scosche CR1289B 2005-Up Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Nav Stereo Replacement Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this specific kit because it was listed as fitting my 05 grand Cherokee w/nav. My laredo did not come with the navigation, just the stock cd player model. I did not want the kit that goes with with it, since that kit leaves two half circles on the sides where the stock radio dials were located, so I went and purchased the nav bezel to replace the whole thing. I purchased the correct bezel, that goes with an 05 grand Cherokee. I went to install the scosche nav kit and there is a 1/8-1/4" gap all around the sides. I contacted scosche directly, emailed them pix of the install, and now they are supposedly sending me a different piece for it. When I compair pictures of the scosche kit with the Metra kit listed for the Grand Cherokee w/nav the outer trim ring looks wider on the Metra kit. Since then I have talked to people with the Metra kit and they say it fits no problem. So not sure if I happened to get the wrong trim piece in the package, or they are all the wrong size. Trying to see if anyone else has had this problem.
