(More customer reviews)As a safe driving concern, I was looking for a device to hold a garmin nuvi 1350 on the visor by the driver's side so I can quickly glance overhead at the map display while on the move and still keeping my eyes on the traffic ahead. This unit met all my requirements. By mounting a GPS on the visor and not on the dashboard, I eliminate having to turn my head, even slightly, away from the road ahead. The visor mount allows me to position the 4.3 inch display closer to my face, so short glances are enough to take in the essential map info. However, I use a dashboard mount if I need to recharge the unit.
Charging the unit while mounted on the visor can be distracting with a cord hanging down in front of you. For downtown city driving, a visor mount takes the stress out of navigating quick lane changes and turns. A dashboard mount is fine for freeway driving.
