i'm a professional truck driver so i used this alot. worked very good for me. if your a truck driver make sure you set it to take highways mostly for your routing because if you dont it will take you through the back roads and if your in new york it could get you killed in a big truck.

USGLOBALSAT USG ND-100 USB GPS Receiver Review

USGLOBALSAT USG ND-100 USB GPS Receiver

Quite sensitive - maintains a fix indoors in places where we've not gotten any handheld dedicated GPS units to keep a fix.
Works out-of-box with Ubuntu, though the kernel puts it at /dev/gps0 instead of the more common /dev/ttyUSB0.
Under Windows XP, it keeps coming up as "Microsoft serial Ballpoint", and the GPS NMEA data coming from it gets interpreted as mouse movements and button clicks. The fix (although not easy to accomplish with mouse moving on its own...) is to open up Device Manager, and just after plugging in the GPS when the ballpoint device first appears in Device Manager, right-click it and select 'Disable'. Doing this over remote desktop or VNC is tons easier as you can keep the mouse cursor in one place... GlobalSat has newer Windows drivers, one explicitly saying it's for the ballpoint problem, but the only way I could fix it was to disable the ballpoint in device manager.

ARKON LMCSTORM Laptop Mobile Connect Laptop Mount Bundled with Custom Cradle for BlackBerry Storm Review

Okay, it looks a bit geeky to have this contraption sticking up from my laptop screen. But it has saved me a lot of trouble dealing with a cable and phone falling all over the place when I tether to my Storm for Internet access. It's especially useful in my car while the wife's driving. The Storm fits perfectly, it's secure, and it's high quality (it's been in my laptop bag and hasn't broken from the usual slamming around).

I have used DeLuo 31-311-01 USB Notebook GPS with mapping software and for Automatic Position Reporting with Ham Radio APRS and been satisfied with their performance. Then I purchased the 31-919-22 MouseGPS. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. It claims it can be either a mouse or a GPS, but not both at the same time. There is a switch on the bottom to select the mode. The mouse mode lasted ten minutes as I scrolled thru e-mail, then the axle for the scroll wheel sheared off and the wheel leaned left and rubbed on the case. A replacement MouseGPS did the same thing. The GPS function does not give a location most of the time. I have used DeLuo's own "GPS Diagnostics" and run this unit for twelve to sixteen hours waiting for it to find a location. Very rarely and only for a moment did it ever give a location. I even ran it beside DeLuo's own 31-311-01 notebook GPS. The 31-311-01 locked in on a location in a few minutes and stayed locked in. A replacement MouseGPS never locked onto a location.
Today 1-18-2010 none of the bookmarks I have for DeLuo work. Immediately I get a site not found message on all of them. I believe that their MouseGPS dragged them under and the company is gone. The 31-311-01 USB GPS has served me well and still works. The 31-919-22 MouseGPS never worked right and neither did the warranty replacement.

It took about 5 minuets to set this up to run with MS street and trip ( i am using 2006). it was so easy i thought there is something wrong. it has more features than i Knew, like Altitude( beside Latitude and longitude) gives you the speed that you are traveling( it matched the digital speedometer)also its very small. the only thing that i wish it had is to reconfigure the route if you miss an exit, it just says "off route" beside that its flawless.
