I got this stereo for my wife's Jeep Liberty, a Valentine's day Gift. I did research for a week and This stereo have everything you can ask and you can't beat the price on Amazon under 120 bucks.
Here are some features I like.
Built-in HD Radio(R) Tuner: Don't buy stereo without HD Radio. Like TV, all radio stations across US are converting to digital FM. Digital transmission has better signal and it displays name of songs/bands/artists.
MP3/WMA Compatible: You can play mp3 CDs.
Front USB Port: You can directly plug flash drive into USB port and it plays mp3s from it. I no more have to burn CDs for few new songs. I just copy them in flash drive and play from it.
Front AUX-IN: I have Sansa Mp3 player and I connect to Aux-in sometimes. I can play all the music from my mp3 player to car stereo
Variable-Color Illumination: You can match the color of your car console to stereo display.
I like this stereo very much and would recommended it to anyone.

The built-in HD Radio on JVC's KD-HDR50 offers a multitude of programming in premium digital sound and an iTunes Tagging feature, which lets you "tag" songs playing on the radio, so you can purchase later from the iTunes store. The front USB port lets you easily play songs from iPod/iPhone and other USB devices, and the 2-way control for iPod/iPhone lets you operate directly from iPod/iPhone or on the headunit itself. Enjoy superior sound with a MOS-FET power amp and 24-bit DAC. And thanks to the Variable-Color Illumination, you can select from 30 existing colors or mix your own to give it the look you want. Other features include front AUX-IN and a 7-band parametric iEQ. Add Bluetooth(R) Wireless Technology, SAT Radio, or a CD Changer to take it to the next level.
Discover how good radio can sound
HD Radio is a Digital technology that allows a radio station to transmit more information in the same radio wave, enabling higher quality sound and additional content. HD Radio technology makes AM Stations have FM Station-like sound quality, while FM Stations are broadcast with CD-like sound quality.
Unlike typical FM or AM transmission, HD Radio has crystal clear reception with low noise and no audio distortion.

More content, more listening options with Multicasting
Multicasting allows more channels to be accessed from your radio dial. HD Radio multicast channels can be listened to only by an HD Radio enabled stereo such as the KD-HDR50. These "Stations In Between the Stations" contain additional format options, music genre and talk radio options, and even experimental formats that have, until now, never been heard through other radio broadcast mediums.
HD Radio broadcasting is completely free of charge--there are no monthly plans or subscription costs for this unique and exciting content.
National coverage areas--HD Radio content is currently available in close to 200 major markets currently and rapidly expanding. For more information or to find HD Radio stations near you, log on to mobile.jvc.com or www.hdradio.com.

iTunes Tagging iTunes Tagging allows users to store or "tag" information about that song they are hearing on HD Radio and store it in their receiver. The tagged song information will transfer to their iPod/iPhone and be recalled in iTunes allowing them the option to purchase that song from the iTunes store. How it works:
When you hear a song you like on the radio, press the "TAG" key to save the information on the headunit.
Information is transferred to your iPod when you connect to the headunit.
Information is transferred to iTunes when you sync your iPod to your computer.
The song shows up on the "Tagged" playlist in iTunes.
Click on the button to purchase the song from the iTunes Store.
Enjoy the music!

Conventional Radio Of course, sometimes you'll want to tune into non-HD content, so you can also dial in standard AM/FM stations. Tune into your favorite stations instantly with 18 FM and 6 AM presets (all of which can be used for HD stations if you choose).
CDs and More The KD-HDR50 also features a CD player, which will play your favorite CDs and CD-R/RWs.
What's more, you can burn an MP3 or WMA disc and enjoy hours of audio complete with ID3 tagging for displaying track information.
USB Port Stream MP3/WMA files from USB thumb drives and other devices via the included USB port.
iPod Connectivity You can also operate your iPod via the USB port. Control your iPod/iPhone from either the player itself or from the receiver's controls, while allowing song and artist information display, play, pause, skip, or back commands from either device.
Input and Output Two pairs of preamp outputs are provided for system expansion if you want to add a little more power to the KD-HDR50's onboard 50W x 4 amplifier.
A 3.5mm front panel auxiliary input is also included for use with iPods, MP3 players, or other external audio devices.
Room to Grow The KD-HDR50's is a great system, but there's room to expand your options. Add JVC modules for Bluetooth, CD changers or SAT Radio to take your system to the next level.
Wireless Remote A full-featured wireless remote is include for controlling receiver functions.

Delphi Sa 10034 Skyfi Cd Audio System Review

Delphi Sa 10034 Skyfi Cd Audio System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The mere thought of a combination satellite radio/cd/radio boombox delights the ears. I needed a CD player/radio AND wanted to be able to listen to my XM radio, so I gave this boombox a try. What a disappointment. The main problem is the background noise on the XM radio. The faint high-pitched hum only occurs when listening to the XML radio. The CD player and radio sound fine, however, CDs skip and sometimes hesitate to play. Removing the XM radio takes some practice. You snap the unit into the adapter, which is fine, but to remove it, you have to push on the radio until the unit slides forward. That was my experience.
If you don't already own a Delphi XM radio, consider the Audiophase satellite radio Skybox with AM/FM/CD/MP3 player. Or you could add a receiver to an XM radio family plan,[...].
Pros:
- Radio and cd player fidelity
- Intuitive buttons
Cons:
- Background noise
- Skipping CDs
- Awkward way to insert and remove XM radio
- Garish design

Garmin GXM 30 Weather and Audio XM Satellite Receiver (requires subscription) Review

Garmin GXM 30 Weather and Audio XM Satellite Receiver (requires subscription)
Average Reviews:

First I'd like to let anyone reading this know that I'm a trucker, so I use this thing all day, everyday.
First: it thought it was waaay expensive! And it is. But it was worth it because it's much better than changing stations every 10 seconds. And it tells my GPS route me around traffic and accidents.. which is amazing.
I use the XM Radio, Traffic, and Weather services - they all work great except the XM signal goes whenever I'm heading North-West. But the cord isn't long enough to reach outside my big semi so it isn't able to get the signal it needs. Other than that it's pretty darn good.

The compact, all-in-one GXM 30 delivers XM satellite weather, traffic, and radio to your compatible Garmin GPS navigator. With the GXM 30 and a subscription to one of XM's satellite services, you can check the weather, avoid traffic backups, or listen to commercial-free radio while driving with your navigator in tow. Setting up the GXM 30 is quick and easy: simply position the antenna where it has a clear view of the sky and connect it directly to the USB port on your GPS receiver. Once you've chosen the XM subscription that best fits your needs, you'll start receiving XM satellite services immediately.
The type of information you receive depends on your subscription package. XM NavTraffic notifies you of accidents, road construction, and weather-related traffic delays before you encounter them, and then offers an alternate route on your GPS. XM WX Weather, meanwhile, brings real-time animated weather data directly to your screen, letting you steer clear of bad weather or choose a less snowy mountain pass, for instance. Finally, XM satellite radio offers dozens of commercial-free music, talk, sports, and news stations--one for virtually every genre in existence. The GXM 30, which measures roughly 3 inches in diameter, fits the following Garmin navigators: the GPSMap 376C, GPSMap 378, GPSMap 478, GVN 52, StreetPilot 2820, StreetPilot 7200, StreetPilot 7500, StreetPilot 2730, and zumo 550. It's also backed by a one-year warranty.

SIRIUS Stratus 6 Dock-and-Play Radio with Car Kit (Black) Review

SIRIUS Stratus 6 Dock-and-Play Radio with Car Kit (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this to replace an Audiovox PNP2 radio purchased in 2004...after wasting tons of time and effort trying to make it continue to work properly. I had purchased three home docks and one auto dock for the PNP2 so I was not thrilled when it started to fail. I could not get consistient reception with the PNP2 even after placing the antennae in various places outside my home. I even bought an antenna extender so I could place the antenna on the roof, free from obstruction...no dice. I listen to Sirius all day long so reception problems were driving me nuts!
I ordered the Stratus 6 (with car kit) and a home kit from Amazon because they had the lowest pricing and free shipping. I only ordered one home kit to be sure everything worked properly. After spending a short time connecting everything to a receiver on the first floor I was ready to take the antenna outside for a test when, to my surprise, I heard music! The new antenna was pulling a signal from inside the house! I was completely floored and soon realized that the technology has been enhanced quite a bit since the days of the PNP2. I now keep the unit on top of an organ next to the receiver and keep the antenna curled up, pointing at a wall, and I get all three reception bars! Moving to another stereo in another part of the house is so simple that I don't even need to purchase additional docks. I wish I hadn't waited so long.
The car kit is just as great...I plugged the supplied 3.5mm to 3.5mm connector to my AUX IN, ran the antenna through to the trunk, and found a convenient spot on the dash for the dock. WAY better reception than the crappy PNP2 car dock!
I was able ot transfer my lifetime subscription to the new unit in about five minutes ($75 fee for that but worth it to call all the way to India for assistance ;-)
The blue display is so easy to read and the 10 pre-sets are adequate to get me around the dial quickly. Sound is stellar! I highly recommend this unit!

I bought this holder because the holders that came with my Delphi Skyfi 2 were as cheap as you could get.
I've been very surprised by this. The suction cup is very strong. I've never had any problems with it coming loose, nor can I easily remove it without releasing the air lock. The flexible metal bar is very sturdy, so it stays in whatever position you put it in. It comes with a couple options to hook it up to the radio. Either a plastic plate that you can screw onto the back of your radio or a "hook" that slides into the hole that most XM/Sirius radios have on the back.

ARKON SR097 SatRadio Lighter Socket Mount with Power Dongle (CM097 + AP012) Review

ARKON SR097 SatRadio Lighter Socket Mount with Power Dongle (CM097 + AP012)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I couldn't stand having my Sirius suction-cupped to my windshield. This product fits the bill for what I was looking for, though not perfectly.
It's secure and keeps the radio down near my console, but as the other reviewer commented, it's a bit bulky in how they made a separate connector. It would have been ideal to make this a splitter so you can plug in your radio AND have an extra socket, but I'll take it the way it is. It's flexible enough to keep the radio out of the way.
One thing to note. I have a Sirius Starmate, and this mount didn't quit fit perfectly. I had to do a little work on it, drilling a hole and re-assembling it to get it perfect.

Garmin GXM 30 Antenna NavTraffic and XM Satellite Radio reception for your Garmin navigation system Review

Garmin GXM 30 Antenna NavTraffic and XM Satellite Radio reception for your Garmin navigation system
Average Reviews:

I have been using a GXM 30 with my Garmin 2739 for over 2 years now. I am very pleased. I use if for music as well as subscribing to the traffic and weather services from XM. I take the unit wherever I go. The 2730 goes from car to car as well as two motorcycles. The GXM I only use in the cars as I have hard wired a Delphi Sky-Fi II mounting bracket onto both bikes and take the head unit with me as I need it. For those of you who are thinking about buying a car dealer navigation system in the car as well as XM - don't wast your money. The Garmin is a whole lot less (I paid $181 for a refurbished unit), it is more easily updated and for less than the dealer systems, and it is portable. OK, it is not as cosmetically appealing as a in dash screen but I can live with that and the $2000 I saved. I agree with the previous poster, the first person should have researched the product. His complaint is not a valid one.

Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM Satellite Tuner Review

Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM Satellite Tuner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was really tired of the cheesy little XM receiver that I had - it clipped on to the vent and had three wires (antenna, power, and sound to the head unit). It was time to change.
My Pioneer DEH-P980BT is Satellite Radio ready and this unit is compatible. So I ordered it and installed it. It was just as easy to install as the cheesy unit and has the added benefit of being hidden away, and integrated into the display of my Pioneer Head Unit.
What I had not counted on was the improvement in sound quality. Even directly wired through the AUX connection of my stereo, the cheesy XM radio had some sound limitations. With FM Modulation (wired or wireless), it was horrid. The GEX-P920XM puts all that behind you!
Now I have XM as another sound source on my main stereo, all the info displays through the main unit, I have 18 presets, can search by category or station, and there's nothing blocking my air vent!
Get this - you will not regret it. Even if you already have something plugged into your IP-BUS port on your Pioneer Stereo, you can add this - they string together like a network so you are not limited to just one unit! I use this together with the CD-IB100II iPod Adapter and it's bliss!

Clarion VX409 6.5-Inch Double-DIN Multimedia Station with Touch-Panel Control Station Review

Clarion VX409 6.5-Inch Double-DIN Multimedia Station with Touch-Panel Control Station
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I installed this unit in my 2009 Subaru WRX. I removed it and returned it after 3 days.
The good:
-It has a good amount of power. I ran this to my stock speakers and they sounded much, much better than they did with the factory receiver.
-Good build quality. The physical unit feels well made. Mechanical flip face works smoothly, buttons and volume dial feel solid.
-It's cheap.
The bad:
-iPod integration is terrible. There is no way to easily scroll through artists/albums etc. You have to click an arrow to flip through each individual entry. This is OK if you have a couple albums on a nano, but not OK if you plan to connect an iPod with a large library. Finding an artist beginning with 'N' took close to 100 clicks with my full 120GB iPod classic. And if you want to go from Nelly to Nirvana, you have to start all over from 'A' again.
-Poor screen resolution. Font edges are jagged.
-No dimmer. It has a dimmer connection wire, but it did not work on my unit. The screen was at full brightness at all times, and the manual dimmer control did not work either. At night it was like having a spotlight in my dash.
-Restarts between sources. Every time you change sources, the entire unit restarts. Screen shuts off then on and everything. It doesn't take too long, 3-4 seconds maybe, but it is rather odd and obnoxious. I took the whole thing out to check for a loose connection when it first happened. Called Clarion about it and they said it is normal operation.
-Navigation. The specs list this unit as being compatible with an optional navigation unit. However, the only input for the navigation unit is a component video connection. So if you were to connect navigation, the VX409 would only serve as a monitor, and you would not have touch screen control of anything.
Overall, the actual physical unit could be quite nice. However the software feels like going back to using Windows 95.

Clarion's VX409 packs plenty of features into a two-DIN DVD unit. The VX409 boasts a high-resolution 6.5-inch QVGA LCD display, DVD/CD/MP3/WMA playback, AM/FM radio, and more. The VX409 gives you great value to start, and lets you choose where to add on as you go.

High-Resolution QVGA Display The 6.5-inch QVGA color LCD features an intuitive graphical user interface for operation of your iPod, Sirius Satellite Radio, CD and DVD playback, including full access to DVD menus. The QVGA LCD screen offers high resolution viewing for DVDs as well as AUX connected sources.
24-Bit D/A Converter for Superb Sound Reproduction Fully enjoy the sonic impact of DVD movie soundtracks or music videos. 24-bit technology actually oversamples the digital signal, providing excellent results that just weren't possible with older 16-bit systems.
Navigation RCA Video Input With the VX409, you can connect the NP509 hideaway navigation system to upgrade to a car navigation system at any time. Count on voice guidance messages and high-resolution map displays to get you safely to your destination. Optional SA509 required for installation.
Bluetooth Interface Ready Add the optional BLT370 for hands-free calling in your vehicle.
Sirius SSP Direct Connection Ready Connect to the Sirius Satellite Radio receiver without the need for a interface box. One sirius Tuner and one interface cable, and you are ready to receive over 130 channels of music, news, talk shows, sports and traffic information with CD quality sound throughout the USA.
Media Versatility Play back your DVDs (including burnt DVD-R/RWs and DVD+R/RWs) and CDs (CD-DA and CD-R/RWs too).
You can also enjoy MP3/WMA files burnt to disc. ID3 tags such as artist and song info are displayed on the unit's screen.
AM/FM Radio Catch up on the news or listen to your favorite stations. Get quick access to your favorites with 18 FM and 6 AM station presets.
iPod Direct Control Add the optional CCUIPOD1 and enjoy full control of your iPod while it charges.
AV Input/Output Use external devices (such as video game systems, etc.) using the rear AV input.
Or, add a second monitor in the back seat using the AV output.
Room to Grow With 40 Watts through four channels, and a 24-bit D/A converter, the VX409 gives you great sound to start. But it also includes 6 channels of preamp output and a subwoofer volume control, so you can easily add external amplifiers and build a monster system.
Remote Included A full-featured remote control is included. The VX409 is also OEM steering remote ready, if you'd prefer control right at the helm.

Sony XNV-660BT 6.1-Inch WVGA In-Dash A/V Receiver with Bluetooth, USB, Satellite/HD radio ready, and Integrated Navigation from TomTom Review

Sony XNV-660BT 6.1-Inch WVGA In-Dash A/V Receiver with Bluetooth, USB, Satellite/HD radio ready, and Integrated Navigation from TomTom
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Pros: Start-up is under 5 seconds, Nav, DVD player, IPOD integration is great for the most part, Blue tooth, radio tuner has many presets and even has ability to search regular FM for genre specific stations (great for traveling). Buttons are large and it feels very user friendly and there aren't a lot of layers to get through when trying to switch through your sources.
Cons: Sirius Satellite radio integration is not good! It only displays 1 line and 8 characters and scrolls. In order to get all the information typically provided by satellite radio you need to hit the Display button 4 times (while waiting for scrolling time) to get the radio station name, song name, artist, and channel number. This is just not acceptable at this price level. Sony's website states "seamless" satellite radio integration, I don't quite understand that.
Second con is with the IPOD, but when your listening to a song and you want to go back through the layers to the album then artist etc, it doesn't let you. It will make you start at the beginning of your library and have to dive back into the artist then album to get back to where an ipod would normally go with one click. Kind of difficult when you just want to change albums by the same artist or even when you want to skip from track 2 to 10 without pressing seek 8 times.
Last con I care to discuss, SENSE ME software is only written for windows, and I don't have a windows computer, leaving this function of the radio completely useless for me.
This radio is going back this week, as I have called Sony and they have no answers for any updates in the future. Check my video review out as it was too big for amazons site:
