(More customer reviews)On the first speed bump I hit, the cradle left the mount, thank God there was no traffic on the road and I was able to pick up my GPS before it got run over, I used some rubber tape to secure the cradle in the ball and then while going over a railroad track, the whole ball came off the mount. The one that looks like a zip tie works much better.

Here is a great mount for the Garmin Nuvi. Excellent value on a heavy duty handlebar mount that fits handlebars up to 1 inches. We even include rubber strips so that this mount can be used for much smaller handlebars.This can be easily removed. This uses the cradle that came with your GPS. This fits all Garmin Nuvi GPS models as well as the Streetpilot C580 C550 C530 i5 i3 i2 GPS.

(More customer reviews)I am a mountain biker and loved the idea of being able to view the screen while riding. BUT the mounting bracket does not hold the explorist well enough. I watched my explorist unit fall to the ground on the first ride and thought I just didn't have it clicked into place. Wrong, because after putting it firmly into the bracket I lost the unit on the next downhill. I was luck enough to find the unit but will never use it on my bike or ATV due to fear of losing it.

(More customer reviews)These are the exact same mounts that came with my Edge 500. However, there are TWO complete sets of mounts in each package. The description should have said this because I ordered 5 mounts and ended up with 10. Even Garmin's site shows a photo of one set not two. Now if I could only order an Omega Speedmaster and get 2 for the price of one life would be sweet!

Garmin Edge Handle Bar Mount Review

(More customer reviews)I agree with the other 1 star reviews. The mounting clip breaks after only about 3 months of use when taking the unit on and off your bike. Other people in my bike club have reported similar results and have had $500 Edge 705 units fly off their bike while riding!!! Come on, Garmin, get your act together and make something out of metal that is more durable. The 705 computer is absolutely great, but it is a travesty that it is attached with a 10 cent piece of plastic that can potentially cause the loss of the enitre computer while on the road!!!

Garmin forerunner Bike Mount Review

(More customer reviews)There are a few reviews on here that mention using this product with the Forerunner 305, but I wanted to make sure I posted a review to state specifically that yes - the Forerunner 305 fits on this perfectly (even though the description says Forerunner 405 and Forerunner 50).
I initially looked at the Forerunner 305 Quick-Release kit, but the horror stories of the device popping out of the wristband or bike mount quickly scared me away. With this mount, you can keep your 305 on its original wrist-strap, and feel more secure on your bike as the strap is wrapped around the mount. Garmin should abandon that Quick-Release kit and just use this as their mount for all their Forerunners.
One note - you do have to rotate the mount downward to see the 305 screen in an optimal position, but this hasn't affected the GPS reception at all.

(More customer reviews)At this time, there aren't many water-resistant handlebar mounts for the Droid X phone. Recent word was that this holder would actually handle the phone. The price was right, so I ordered it.
Actually, the Droid X is just a little too tall to fit flush against the front half of the case. Also, the clear section isn't as tall as the display, so pressing the top bar is not easy.
Overall, it will work ok for navigating and seeing who's calling you. A little bigger and this would get 2 more stars.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this case for the sole use on my motorcycle (2000 Honda Magna). It fits great on the bike and is somewhat adjustable, it's not rock solid tight so I can move the entire unit to minimize the sun glare, the case itself is also adjustable! I had to add my own foam so the GPS screen would be flush with plastic case screen which I made out of some foam shipping material and cut using one of the supplied foam pieces as a template. My Magellan 1424 GPS power cord connects on the bottom of the unit which causes a very tight fit on the zipper, it is a 4.3 screen and doesn't fit flush in the viewing area as shown in the product picture; the one in the picture probably does not have the power cord connected or it connects at the back of the unit. It is harder to see during daylight hours through the screen because of glare but not unusable, I have no tried it at night. I also doubt I'll ever test the waterproof feature of the case but it is a solid unit and I'm confident it would keep water out! The case is very easy to remove from the bracket and take with you when away from the motorcycle. My GPS has voice commands and are not easily heard while riding; I've yet to figure how to mount a microphone in the case so I could hear the commands, not a big deal. Other than the plastic screen making it difficult to see minute details, I would recommend this case, very good quality product.
