(More customer reviews)I didn't know that this item existed & was always concerned with the locknut design which made it easy for a thief to just spin off the knob & away goes your navigator bracket (or navigator too if was locked there as well).
This guy does the nice job of making the knob spin idle once locked & so the mount can't be undone.
Am quite happy & it works well so far.
My only criticism is that its a bit bulky.

(More customer reviews)I had been looking for a GPS mounting device for my HD FLHTC. Not knowing how my Garmin Nuvi 850 would perform on a motorcycle, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Then I saw this one and it seemed like a good value.
I ordered it and received it very quickly, so great shipping! The day after I got it I flew to San Francisco where I rented a bike like mine for a 1400 mile tour of the coast and National Parks. I installed the mount on the handlebars and then I installed the GPS.
The mount offers tremendous adjustment flexibility so viewing angle and placement on the handlebars is excellent... just put it where you want it.
The ball mount was my biggest concern, I hoped that it would hold the GPS firmly enough so that it wouldn't pop off... over the course of 1400 miles there was no problem at all.
The ball mount allowed me to remove the GPS whenever I left the bike unattended and the frequent on and off did not diminish either the GPS' or the mount's integrity or ability to hold securely.
The Nuvi 850 IS NOT waterproof but because of the mounting location behind the bike's windshield, in heavy rain the Nuvi stayed relatively dry and performed well... I wouldn't want to stop very long in heavy rain though because the windshield only protects when the bike is moving. In the future I would consider taping the Nuvi's seams with vinyl electrician's tape to seal it from rain.
I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.

(More customer reviews)I selected this mount for my Garmin 275T because my Cannondale bike has a bar which is 33mm in diameter. The good news is that the mount does fit and holds the GPS very securely. The bad news is that I needed the entire length of the screws to hold it on because, unlike the picture, a 33mm bar can't be fully encased by the mount. So it's kinda extended. Not very pretty, but it does hold.

I ordered it and received a replacement OEM rubber strap, which is the wrong item. I wrote to their customer service and received automated authorization for return, so I'm not sure if any human ever saw my reason for the return. So, I'm not sure if anyone at AntOnline knows that the item pictured here is different from the one they're shipping. Take that into account if you order this item! Otherwise, shipping was prompt and the (wrong) item was well packed.

(More customer reviews)As I've read in other reviews, the Edge 705 base map is better than the 305 but no where close to what you would expect from an all-in GPS unit. If you want to obtain map detail on your PC and you GPS unit, don't buy the micro SD card but rather purchase the DVD version. I've confirmed from Garmin that if you purchase the DVD version, map detail can be viewed on your PC and the 705. All you need to do is copy the DVD to a micro sd card which you can insert into the unit.
As some of you may have found out, the micro sd card that comes with map detail can not be loaded on your PC which means you won't see the detail from your rides once you download them to the GTC software. Hope this saves some people money as well as miminizes the frustration.

(More customer reviews)I agree with the previous review stating that the strap could stand to be longer, making it easier to pull taught. Also, the ring that goes around your handlebar could stand to be grippier itself because with prolonged use the mount slips slightly and needs to be readjusted, but this is very minor and can be done safely while riding. The "open" button being high on the back allows for you to safely open the clamp without, say, your phone falling out because you intuitively put your thumb on the phone to make a pinching motion with the button. For the easily amused, the clamp opens in a manner reminiscent of an airlock opening in a Sci-Fi space-fairing vessel, and reassuringly grips your device snuggly when you close it. I do not use a GPS navigator so I cannot speak for any claims on that front, but this is a must for cyclists who expect a call or skirt the law by listening to an MP3 player. The swivel might allow you to watch those widescreen videos or play a some sort of game, but we know you're smarter than that.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this waterproof case so that I could mount my Garmin nuvi 255w auto GPS to the handlebars of my mountain bike. The case arrived and included the mounting bracket, as well as foam inserts that allow for padding, in case you have a smaller GPS. It fit my nuvi 255w perfectly and will easily fit a Motorola Droid, or the newer, larger Droid X (which I plan to be using the case for once I upgrade my cell phone).
The mounting bracket installed in seconds. The clamp which goes around the bar is already rubberized and has small ridges that help secure it tightly. The bracket also includes a ball socket, allowing you to rotate it to a portrait orientation if needed. It allows for about 40 degrees of movement from center, letting you tilt the unit if needed. The front window is clear plastic and feels heavy enough to withstand regular usage. My Garmin touchscreen still worked just fine through the plastic. The zipper which encircles the case is vinyl and hides the zipper track, creating a rainproof seal. My GPS/phone will definitely be safe even if I get caught in the heaviest downpour. There is a quick release built in to the bracket as well. It requires a little force to remove it, which is a good thing. I'd rather have it too stiff than have my GPS falling off. There is also an access port at the bottom of the case, in case you need to run headphones and/or power.
I never take the time to write reviews, so I hope this goes to show you how impressed I am with this product.

Like to ride in the rain, but your GPS doesn't? No problem! This waterproof bike combo will keep your GPS dry. The mount fits handlebars from .75 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Another reviewer felt it was over-engineered and gave it a bad rating because of that, I don't agree with his rating, but I can see where he's coming from. The main thing I'd point out is that assembly holds the GPS a fair distance away from the handle bar which may be make or break with you (see video). I'm not sure how much vibration or shock a GPS unit can take, so I would have like to have seen some kind suspension or shock absorption considering it's size.

(More customer reviews)If you have a Garmin eTrex Vista HCx GPS, do not buy Garmin's bike mount because it does not fit. Buy this rail mount instead to mount the GPS on a bicycle handlebar. The adapter that comes with the Vista HCx clips right in to this rail mount.
Unfortunately, this mount is not as secure as the mount Garmin makes for their Edge GPS units and it only allows you to mount the GPS on your handlebar, not on the stem.
There is also a larger diameter version for fatter handlebars (like most road bikes): Garmin Large Diameter Rail Mount Adapter (010-10496-00)

The description should have said this because I ordered 5 mounts and ended up with 10. Even Garmin's site shows a photo of one set not two. ARKON CM032-ST-2 Magellan, Nextar, HP Bicycle Mount Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this item for mounting my Magellan Road Mate 3030 GPS to my motorcycle. It does not fit without modification. The adapter for the handlebar fits fine using one of the rubber pieces that came with it, but the adapter side that supposedly fits the GPS is very different than what is needed for this particular GPS. The ad did not mention about an additional adapter that could be needed.
I ended up removing the part of the adapter that supposedly would fit the GPS and using half of the dash mounting adapter that came with the GPS. The pivoting ball on this adapter is slightly bigger than the one with the dash mounting adapter, so it cannot be tighten solidly. It is enough to sustain the motorcycle vibration-it won't fall-but it moves when pressing/touching the screen to navigate through the GPS menus.
Overall, it is usable, but I wish it would fit better.

(More customer reviews)I've been using this mount in conjunction with my GPSMAP 76CS on my mountain bike with no problems. Installation to the handlebar is simple with just one screw to hold the mount in place.
To mount the GPS unit, simply slide it into the holster and flip a switch on the back to lock it into place.
I've been using this unit on mountain bike trails and everything stays secure and easy to read.
Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)If you have a race bike with a light aluminum handle bar, it probably has a diameter of more than 25 mm. Then this mount is the one you need. It comfortably fits any handle bar with a diameter in the range of 25 to 32 mm. It comes with three rubber strips of different thickness to adjust to the proper size.
It is too bad that you need to purchase this mount on top of the bicycle mount that is delivered with the special clipped backing for your Garmin. The standard mount does not fit any rail with a diameter larger than 25 mm.
In my case, I switched bikes and my new bike had a wider bar. So I'm lucky to have a mount now on both the old and new bike. But if you start from scratch, and have wide handle bar, you are faced with two purchases.

DeLorme AF-7850-000 Earthmate PN Series RAM In-Vehicle Mount Review

(More customer reviews)I found the DeLorme In-Vehicle mount to be very solid with no movement. The downside is the reason the mount is so solid is that it is so large. It will impact visibility if you put it in the usual spot of the middle of the windshield. I eventually put mine in the upper left corner of the windshield and it does not interfere with my driving visibility. It is extremely solid.
