(More customer reviews)This is the original factory replacement antenna for BOTH the astro transmitter and the handheld receiver. It is very flexible and easily conforms as the dog wearing it crawls under/over blockages to get to their prey. If you are replacing a missing or broken antenna, you probably want to go with this unless it is for a vehicle (ATV or 4WD) then check the high gain magnetic mount. The low profile antenna is not recommended for VHF frequencies.
This antenna also has a gasket bottom that will seal up when screwed onto the astro base ensuring it is waterproof once mounted.

Garmin Carabiner Stretch Holster for eTrex (010-10480-00) Review

(More customer reviews)I received this as a gift to accompany my new Garmin Etrex Vista, and have really enjoyed using it. Clipping onto your belt loop makes reference very easy while walking about geocaching. (I suggest loading the device so the clip is at the bottom of your GPS -- which means that it hangs upside down from your belt loop, but when you want to reference it, you simply hold it flat w/o unclipping from you belt. Believe it or not, it took me a couple of days to figure that out...and I even have a college degree!)
Downsides:
Not easy to load into the carrying case. It's very snug, which is great for security while carrying, but is a pain if you take it in/out a lot.
The clip is not very strong. After only 2 months of use the clip's hinge is already weak. I'm going to need to replace it soon, but carabiner clips are cheap and abundant at local hardware stores, so I don't consider this a "deal breaker".I have 2 different carrying cases (the other is a belt-clip clear-front model) and this is definitely the superior (and cheaper!) I completely and unabashedly recommend this carrying case for your Garmin Etrex -- and you can quote me on that!

Magellan Meridian External Power Cable with Cigarette Lighter Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)This power adapter does the job. It's neat because it can handle a wide range of voltage inputs. It has a small in-line power box that adjusts the input to fit the needs of the Meridian. The problem I had is that I bought it before realizing the power and the computer connection both use the same strange I/O connector. So if you use this adapter, you can't connect to your laptop. The solution is to buy the more expensive dual cable version that has both battery cord and serial cable attached.

(More customer reviews)Even when new, my Nuvi 750 wouldn't run for more than 5 or 10 minutes when unplugged. When the run time got ridiculously short, I started looking for a real fix. Earlier I had seen that Garmin would replace the battery, but for an insane amount of money. When I found this battery for under $20, it didn't take long to make up my mind. The shipping was fast and installation was quick. I found a DIY video on YouTube that showed me what to do. Found a neat set of miniature tools at Home Depot and went to work. I left it connected overnight to charge and now it's better than ever! All you need is the tiny Torx T-5 screwdriver and the job is a snap!
